An Experienced Team of Legal Professionals

The attorneys at our firm have over 70 years combined experience in family law, divorce, and related matters.

Michael G. Ruppert has practiced family law since 1978. He has been a specialist in family law as certified by the Family Law Certification Board since 2001. Mr. Ruppert has published numerous articles on topics involving divorce and family law and teaches CLE programs for lawyers and bar review classes on topics in family law.

Paula J. Schaefer received her law degree from Indiana University School of Law 1994. Paula is a specialist in family law as certified by the Family Law Certification Board. She has published in the field of family law and teaches courses in family law.

Both Michael G. Ruppert and Paula J. Schaefer have been named Indiana SuperLawyers by Law & Politics magazine. Mr. Ruppert was first named in 2005 and in subsequent years, and Ms. Schaefer was named in 2007.

Lainie A. Hurwitz received her law degree from University of Dayton School of Law in 1998. Practicing exclusively in family law, she taught a class for the Indiana Public Defender Council on Termination of Parental rights/CHINS cases, in 2005.
